"This week, Chairman Warsh and the Fed kept interest rates unchanged, which is a good move in our current environment. Higher interest rates raise the cost of purchasing a home, a car, or anything that requires a loan. Right now, consumer spending is strong and consumer confidence is on the rise. Data shows that the underlying economy is strong and we must keep interest rates competitive. Changing interest rates will not change energy prices, the biggest driver of price increases. Watch my interview on @NEWSMAX, where I discuss why the Fed’s decision this week was the right call."

"Today, I joined community leaders for the groundbreaking of the Coblentz Corner project in downtown Berwick. I’m pleased to see the Coblentz Corner project breaking ground after years of preparation, coordination with state and local officials, and my office working to secure $1.5 million in federal funding to make this possible. The new Coblentz Corner facility will house a teen center, entrepreneurship academy, and restaurant incubator in the heart of Berwick. This success demonstrates why community projects and constituent services are so important to me and my team. When we work with state and local leaders on these projects, relationships are enhanced, and we deliver strong results for residents and businesses. I’m pleased to have played a role in securing the funding for this transformation at the heart of Berwick and look forward to the many benefits it will have for the community once completed. Thank you to Senator Lynda Culver and Representative Robert Ledbeter for supporting this project in the state legislature, and County Commissioners Dean Brewer, Randy Karschner, and David Kovach, Berwick Borough Manager Damien Scoblink, Deputy Director of Community Strategies Group Josh Nespoli, President of the Columbia-Montour Chamber of Commerce Chris Berleth, and For The Cause Teen Center for supporting this project."

"According to a new report released by @fintechassoc, social media users in the US will see nearly 1 TRILLION  scam ads in 2026. FTA also found that 18% of all ads shown on social media are scams, and the average social media user sees 340 scam ads per month. If left unchecked, that number will rise to 440 scam ads per month by 2031, totaling 1.5 trillion impressions and over $4 billion in losses. My SCAM Act, which is highlighted in the report, would ban these scam ads once and for all by holding platforms accountable when they profit from fraudulent or deceptive ads, requiring them to verify advertisers, and forcing swift action when scams occur."

"Today, I had the opportunity to meet the amazing team at Luzerne County Head Start and read to some of their students. Head Start is an outstanding organization that gives children the support they need to build happy, healthy lives. In Congress, I am working to ensure our government provides the funding and resources Head Start needs to continue its amazing work across our country. Big thank you to Luzerne Head Start Executive Director Beth White, Assistant Executive Director Dawn Smith, President of the Board Stacey Kile, and everyone at Head Start Luzerne County for everything you’re doing for these kids."

"On National Financial Crime Fighter Day, I want to recognize the law enforcement officers, investigators, and financial professionals who work tirelessly to protect Americans from fraud and scams. As Chairman of the @FinancialCmte Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I'm committed to supporting those fighting these crimes and making sure they have the tools and resources they need. That’s why I routinely work with my colleagues in the Administration, like U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, director of the DOJ’s Scam Center Strike Force, to coordinate our efforts. This Congress, House Republicans passed @ZachNunn’s GUARD Act, and our committee advanced the TRAPS Act and other legislation to fight fraud and scams, like my bill, the SCAM Act. By working together, Congress and the Trump Administration are hitting back at scammers while protecting hardworking Americans and their assets."

"It was great visiting the Bradford Tioga Head Start in Towanda this week to see firsthand the important work they do to prepare the next generation for success and support families in our community. I am a huge supporter of the Head Start program and their mission to provide children with the educational, health, nutritional, and family services they need to get a great start in life. I have been a strong supporter of Head Start in Congress and this year voted for an $85 million increase in Head Start funding for FY26. Thank you to Hank Dunn, Executive Director Wendy Swingle, Assistant Executive Director Kim Sexauer, and everyone at Bradford-Tioga Head Start for having me and for helping children build a strong foundation."
