"Winning back Congress is a victory for Democrats. Lowering the cost of living will be a victory for every single one of us. An affordable America. That is what we must deliver. Our work now is to lower your medical bills, your grocery bills, your gas and utility bills, all of it. Real relief for working families. That is what we must deliver. You've had to find a way to pay those bills each and every month and now we need to find a way to bring them down."

"How on earth did we get to this point? How is it possible that Musk can disrupt an American ally's military operations whenever he chooses, maintain a clear line to the Kremlin, and face zero accountability to the American people or the U.S. government?"

"In Donald Trump's White House, there's apparently one rule: if you profit from your proximity to the president, you'd better make sure he gets a piece of the action. Otherwise, there will be hell to pay.   Today's case study: Alina Habba.   Billionaire Julio Herrera Velutini was seeking a presidential pardon. His daughter donated $3.5 million to Trump's super PAC, and his family gave Trump's former personal lawyer, Alina Habba, a contract worth more than $50 million.   Weeks later, Trump granted the billionaire a full and unconditional pardon.   And when Trump learned about Habba's massive payday, he reportedly erupted in anger and told allies he wanted some of that money directed to his presidential library or another Trump-linked organization.   Think about that. The President of the United States reportedly learned about a multimillion-dollar arrangement involving his former lawyer and the family of a man he had just pardoned, and his concern was that he wasn't getting a piece of the action.   It's hard to believe, isn't it?   To Trump, the appearance of corruption isn't the problem. The problem is when the big man doesn't get his cut.   Watch Episode 28 of the Corruption Chronicles. Read all about this crazy story via the NYT here: https://t.co/39XBcUIu9I"

"Appeasing a war criminal and dictator. What has American foreign policy become? At every turn, Ukraine has demonstrated its willingness to pursue an energy ceasefire. At President Trump's urging, Kyiv even paused strikes on Russian refineries. Meanwhile, Putin continued to rain missiles and drones down on Ukrainian cities, destroying homes, crippling essential infrastructure, and killing innocent civilians. And now, the Trump Administration wants to restore Russian natural gas sales to Europe through pipelines running across the very country Putin is invading. Think about what that actually means. While Ukrainians defend their home from the Kremlin’s illegal invasion, Trump wants Ukraine to help facilitate an economic reward for the regime killing its own people. And it comes after the Kremlin dangled lucrative energy investment deals in front of Kushner and Witkoff. All of this is to try to entice Putin to the negotiating table over a conflict Trump bragged he could end in 24 hours. This is beyond disgraceful. Make no mistake. If this were 1938, the Trump Administration would be sitting at the table signing the Munich Agreement and proudly declaring it a diplomatic victory. Appeasement did not work then, and it will not work now. It was Czechoslovakia then. Today, it is Ukraine. https://t.co/GXABeCJaZ4"

"We need to get the nuclear waste off our coast.   More than 1,600 tons of spent nuclear fuel are still stored at SONGS, but it was never meant to stay there forever.   This week, I released my 2026 San Onofre report on the progress we’ve made and the work still ahead.   All spent nuclear fuel has been moved into dry storage, 52 of the site’s 62 structures have been demolished, and I’ve helped secure more than $248 million in federal funding to help manage and transport nuclear waste safely.   We’re also making headway on a national solution. Five states have agreed to explore hosting locations for storing nuclear waste.   Now, we need Congress to act. I’m pushing bipartisan legislation to establish an independent federal agency focused on solving this problem and getting nuclear waste out of shutdown sites like San Onofre.   We’ve made real progress, but I won’t stop fighting until the last canister is off our coast. https://t.co/QB5CSKWGuc"
