"Youngstown Air Reserve Station (YARS) is a critical national security asset and an important part of the Mahoning Valley economy. That is why I led a bipartisan letter with the entire Ohio Congressional Delegation, urging the Air Force to give YARS full consideration as the home of the new 33rd Combat Communications Squadron. The squadron would bring 22 full-time and 128 part-time Air Reserve personnel to YARS, expand the base’s capabilities, and support economic growth in the region. I will continue pushing for investments that support YARS, our service members, and Northeast Ohio."
